The death toll from super typhoon ‘Juan’ rose to 17 on Wednesday while estimated damage to agriculture, fisheries, and infrastructure rose to around P5 billion, reports from various government agencies said.

At least 20 have been injured while the number of families affected by ‘Juan’ increased to over 63,000 households, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Washington (CNN) -- More bullets struck the Pentagon in a shooting Tuesday than initially thought, officials said.

"It has been determined that at least six shots were fired," Steven Calvery, director of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, said in a statement Wednesday. "As previously stated, two exterior windows were impacted by bullets. Upon investigation, it has been determined that four other bullets hit the Pentagon's facade."

MANILA, Philippines - The spokesperson of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo revealed that the government’s crisis management mechanisms would have been discussed with the Aquino administration had they agreed to a proposed joint Cabinet meeting before June 30, 2010.
